This project was a replacement of both a front and rear balcony near the ocean in Redondo Beach. Due to the elements and materials not meant to withstand them, the balconies were suffering from rotten wood and a railing that was coming apart making them unusable for our client. On top of that they had also suffered termite damage so they needed to be fixed properly. Our focus was on solving all of these issues, while using material that can withstand these challenges and last for years to come, so all the owner has to do is enjoy. That included replacing any support beams with properly treated wood, using a composite material for the railings so it’s not at risk from the salty air, and an extremely durable and naturally pest resistant Brazilian lumber for the decking. Combined, these materials need very little to no maintenance. We’re happy our client can now enjoy the Southern California weather out on their balconies worry free.
